MBA Students from the Graduate School of Management and Innovation, KMUTT, Visit Wilsonart and AICA in Singapore to Enhance Practical Learning Experience

On 30 May 2025, MBA students from the Entrepreneurial, Innovation, and Sustainability Management (EPM) program and the Organizational Management (OGM) program at the Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), visited the operations of Wilsonart and AICA in Singapore—two global leaders in the decorative and surfacing materials industry.

The objective of this visit was to provide students with first-hand experience of the operations of leading international organizations. Through this visit, students gained insights into production processes, management practices, product development, and various innovations applied within the industry, particularly in the field of surface and decorative materials—an essential component in the construction and design sectors.

The student group was warmly welcomed by the executives and staff of both Wilsonart and AICA, who provided in-depth information about business operations, marketing strategies, research and development, as well as the challenges and opportunities within today’s global market. Students had the opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions, and explore the production lines and product showrooms. This experience allowed them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and real-world applications.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Paramet Worasaeyanont, Associate Dean for Industry and International Partnerships, stated, “Bringing students to visit leading companies such as Wilsonart and AICA in Singapore is part of our effort to bridge academia with industry. It reflects our commitment to experiential learning, equipping students with a deep understanding of real business environments. This empowers them to respond to change effectively and to apply their knowledge in their careers and future business ventures.”

This corporate visit not only enhanced the knowledge and skills of MBA students, but also broadened their global perspective and cultivated valuable international networks—key elements for career advancement in today’s competitive business landscape.

The Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), KMUTT, remains committed to producing professionals with expertise in management and innovation, in response to the needs of industry and society, through cutting-edge curricula that emphasize real-world learning experiences.
