The Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, organized the Wai Khru Ceremony for Academic Year 2025 on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the 1st floor of GMI Building (N19). The ceremony was attended by administrators, faculty members, staff, and students.
The Wai Khru Ceremony is held to uphold a cherished Thai tradition, expressing respect and gratitude towards teachers who impart knowledge, while also strengthening the bond between faculty members and students. The ceremony included the offering of Wai Khru trays, the recitation of a prayer to honor teachers, an address delivered to students, and a sacred wrist-tying ritual to bestow blessings and good fortune.
The atmosphere was simple yet meaningful, reflecting the values of respect and remembrance of teachers’ benevolence, which serve as a vital foundation for the learning journey and future endeavors of GMI students.
