GMI Joins Joint Meeting with the Department of Intellectual Property

To strengthen understanding of the role of Intellectual Property (IP) and Intangible Assets as business collateral and as key strategic tools in the new economic era, representatives from the Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, led by Dr. Kritsada Jutimongkul, Chair of the Master of Innovation Management (MIM) Program, participated in coordination meetings with the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP). The meetings were chaired by Ms. Oramon Sapthaweetham, Director General of the Department of Intellectual Property, together with representatives from the Thai Independent Valuers Association and the Valuers Association of Thailand.

The key objective of the preparatory discussions focused on the dissemination and exchange of knowledge on Intellectual Property Valuation (IP Valuation) standards in line with internationally recognized best practices. The initiative aims to serve as a collaborative platform connecting government agencies, the private sector, financial institutions, and international organizations to jointly strengthen Thailand’s IP Finance & Valuation infrastructure, enabling better access to funding for Thai entrepreneurs.

This collaborative initiative is scheduled to take place on 20 January 2026.
