GMI KMUTT Conducts a Study Visit to Skugga Farm and Phupanna Coffee, Chiang Mai, to Enhance Knowledge in Innovative Agriculture and Sustainable Community Business

The Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), conducted a study visit to Skugga Farm and Phupanna Coffee, Chiang Mai Province, on 19 December 2025, under the Development of Partnership Networks to Connect the Ecosystem of Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Sustainability of Faculty Members, Students, Society, and Industry Project for the Academic Year 2025. The delegation consisted of executives, faculty members, staff, and students, totaling 12 participants.

The study visit focused on learning integrated approaches to innovative agricultural management, covering the entire value chain from production and processing to value creation for agricultural products. It also included learning about concepts of agri-tourism (Agri-Tourism) development and the creation of creative experiences that sustainably connect the agricultural sector with the service business.

In addition, participants studied business operation concepts, branding development, and management strategies for coffee shops and processing facilities, as well as the integration of business with experience-based tourism in the form of community enterprises. This served as an example of utilizing local identity to create value and competitive advantage, which can be applied to future business plan development.
