{"id":16138,"date":"2026-09-30T11:17:33","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T04:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gmi.kmutt.ac.th\/th\/?p=16138"},"modified":"2026-09-30T11:17:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T04:17:33","slug":"gmi-hosts-bangkok-sustainability-program-2026-connecting-thai-japanese-learning-for-sustainable-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gmi.kmutt.ac.th\/th\/en\/gmi-hosts-bangkok-sustainability-program-2026-connecting-thai-japanese-learning-for-sustainable-development\/","title":{"rendered":"GMI Hosts Bangkok Sustainability Program 2026, Connecting Thai\u2013Japanese Learning for Sustainable Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The <strong>Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)<\/strong> organized the <strong>Bangkok Sustainability Program 2026<\/strong> from <strong>23 August to 5 September 2026<\/strong> under the concept <strong>\u201cThailand as a Living Lab.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Led by <strong>Assistant Professor Dr. Worapoj Angkasith<\/strong>, the program welcomed students from <strong>The University of Tokyo<\/strong> and <strong>Iwate University, Japan<\/strong>, who joined KMUTT students for an immersive learning and cross-cultural exchange experience focused on sustainability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Throughout the two-week program, students explored key topics including <strong>Sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Carbon Neutrality, and Sustainable Business<\/strong> through field visits to businesses, communities, and real-world learning sites. The program also featured hands-on activities, Thai\u2013Japanese cultural exchanges, and collaborative teamwork, allowing students to connect academic knowledge with real-world economic, social, and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Toward the end of the program, students applied the knowledge and experiences gained throughout the program to analyze challenges, develop innovative ideas, and present their solutions through a <strong>Final Presentation<\/strong>. The presentations demonstrated the students\u2019 development in <strong>critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and adaptability in multicultural environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bangkok Sustainability Program 2026<\/strong> not only enhanced students\u2019 knowledge and understanding of sustainability but also broadened their international perspectives and fostered meaningful connections between Thai and Japanese students.
